Seasonal Allergies/ Allergic Rhinitis/ Hay Feve

We live in a state with an unusually high amount of allergens. Louisiana is known for its large quantity of pollen, ragweed, molds and fungus. Peak seasons for allergies are Spring and Fall. It is very common for children who live in Louisiana to be on an allergy medication (an antihistamine or a nasal spray) daily.

Common symptoms include: constant clear runny nose, excessive sneezing, itchy eyes, dark circles under the eyes, throat irritation.

If your child is experiencing any of these symptoms, we can prescribe or recommend an oral antihistamine or nasal spray for him. Please make an appointment to see us so that we can discuss the best treatment regimen for your child.
